i discovered its because fuse #58 keeps blowing out. well, i'm having some trouble with my tail light. It seems this truck grounds any inactive connection, when the headlights are off, all 3 wires are grounded. Brake lights (fuse 14) are fused separately from the tails/parking/license/dash lights (fuse 61). Bulb in tail lights shorting and blowing the fuse, or there is a wire that is either cut or sliced creating a short in the system. If the fuse blows as soon as lights are turned on more likely license plate light ckt than reverse lights ckt, they are fused separately. So I had a shop put in a set of switches in my dash for some lights on the roof, where the only place it touches factory wiring is a relay triggered from the accessory position on the key.
